In many other countries the FIU reports to the Minister of Finance.

In Country Sint Maarten the FIU report directly to the Minister of Justice

The staffing formation at FIU Sint Maarten is
Head of FIU , a Legal, policy advisor, an Office manager ,a Analyst ,
an IT Analyst and a supervisory body will be added

Request made to the FIU must be in written signed by the head of the requesting organization.

As stated in the National ordinance of reporting unusual transactions article 6.
quotes" The reporting office is obligated to provide date to agencies and civil servants who are
entrusted with tracing and prosecuting offenses." end quote.
request for information must then be delivered to the FIU.
